Temperature & Rainfall Trends
Upton Park, Newham | Available station reports from 2022
View earlier years in separate columns. Choose one year or the reference average for the charts and difference arrows. Red up means warmer / wetter; blue down means cooler / drier; a grey horizontal arrow means no change. Incomplete months and conflicting rainfall totals are flagged. Missing data is never treated as zero.
Rainfall totals disagree: the displayed figure is the monthly total printed in the report. The smaller figure underneath is the sum of its daily entries. We do not yet know which is correct, so that month is excluded from rainfall averages and arrows.
How the comparisons are calculated
A single-year comparison uses the same month of the chosen year, only when both reports qualify. The reference average is an average of complete monthly reports from 2022-2025, excluding the selected year. Each month lists its contributing years. This short station record is not a long-term climate normal.
Temperature values are the report's monthly mean (the first figure in its summary). Rainfall values are the report's summary total. A difference greater than 0.05 mm between that total and the sum of printed daily entries is flagged for review; neither value is assumed correct. Rainfall comparisons exclude those reports. Duplicate reports with conflicting values are also excluded.
Incomplete months show the reported values and available day count, but no departure from a full-month average. Annual totals are shown only when all twelve months qualify. Daily coverage does not establish that every hour was recorded.
Embedded historical reports were supplied on 12 September 2026. On each page load, local dailynoaareport*.htm files can replace them when they contain at least as many daily entries. The date range shown below each table identifies the observations available; this is not a live sensor display.
